Adidas redesigned the Suciu ADV, keeping only Mark's essential specs, with an updated, sleeker shape, a better fit and more board feel. The reinforced adiTUFF outsole reduces wear from excessive kick flips for an over all, longer lasting shoe. Lightweight rubber cupsoles and adiPRENE cushioning foam were installed to give the shoe higher impact resistance and the gusseted tongue adds water and snow protection. You just can't go wrong with a solid pair of Adidas skate shoes.

Primary Upper Materials
  • Suede
  • Gusset Tongue
  • Lightweight Rubber Cupsole
  • One Piece Toe

Cupsole - Cupsoles are durable, well-cushioned and provide the best impact protection against hard landings. The sole consists of a single rubber layer, reinforced with glue then stitched to the upper. Cupsoles generally last longer than vulcanized soles, but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.

ADIPRENE® - ADIPRENE® is soft EVA injected cushioning placed under the heel to soak up impacts and soften landings.

ADITUFF™ - ADITUFF™ technology uses a rubber-backed material in the toe box which delivers abrasion resistance, extending the life of the shoe.

Gusset Tongue - Provides added water/snow protection.

Lightweight Rubber Cupsole - Lightweight rubber cupsole provides terrific board feel and protection for when you're skating those big stairsets. Cupsole construction and deep tread pattern gives the shoe long-life durability.

One Piece Toe - Having the toe box made of one piece means there are no crucial seams to tear which translates to the durability and longevity of your shoes.

Worst Insoles make a great style difficult to wear

Adidas Suciu ADV II Skate Shoes
I love the look of these shoes but those adiprene insoles are the worst. Maybe they are meant for sockless because they are so sticky that my socks get really bunched up when trying to slide them on. Sadly you cant easily swap them out for others, unless you downsize your shoes by 1/2 to 1 full size. I tried putting a pair of Busenitz insoles in but they were not the right fit. I am going to stick with Busenitz shoes until they get away from those silly insoles.

The insoles are different, almost seem like they were made for wet/cold weather or to go sockless in. But wrestling them on with a pair of socks isnt bad, and once you have the shoe on they provide all day comfort and capability. Not bulky by any means, but have a bit more padding and support in the midfoot and heel areas than most current skateshoes.
Though not as sleek as the Lucas adidas shoe, the Suciu 2 seems to have protection and function more in mind rather than the slim/foam/vulc formula.
Adidas Suciu II delivers a shoe that could carry you from your dayshift kitchen job straight to an evening skate session and on into your nighttime dog walking activities with little discomfort.
Bark as you please.

Great Shoes, Polarizing Insole

Adidas Suciu ADV II Skate Shoes
I'm a big fan of the first Suciu sneaker, it was like a perfect mix of modern/golden era puffy shoe. This model is def thinned out and the toe is a little bit more pointed as a result. Still uses the same insole from the first model which some people love and I actually hate. I find the rubbery insole to be hot, uncomfortable, and while cushy, not actually supportive. I swapped out the adiprene insole for a very thin insole and an ortho style stacked on top of each other to fill out the negative space in the sneaker. Overall, an awesome shoe...the insole just really is not for me.
