Increased support and control for bigger or aggressive riders

The Speed Date is a super fast, directional, freeride board built for the hard chargers who like to carve up the groomers and hit the backcountry steeps at maximum velocity. The stiffer flex rating and Directional Camber Profile magnify the level of response and control while the rocker at the tip keeps you floating through the deepest powder. The Pro-Tip™ technology tapers the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight and increase maneuverability, and the super light Dragonfly™ Core is infused with Hi-Voltage Carbon Stringers to fine-tune the torsional feel and suck up vibrations for a smoother ride. If you want a fast board with quick acceleration that can handle any terrain, give the Speed Date a shot; you won't be disappointed.

Key Features

Directional Camber Profile - Burton's directional camber profile puts a camber profile at the back with rocker at the nose, allowing for a shorter and more maneuverable board. By moving the camber back the transition into rocker naturally lifts the board at the nose, providing you with a more floaty ride in powder and allowing you to maintain momentum and stability on those deep powder days.

The Channel® - The Channel is an exclusive Burton mounting system using a central spine for virtually endless binding adjust-ability. Introduced in 2011, Burton has widened The Channel along with equipping it with the industry standard hardware for enhanced connection to your snowboard and further compatibility with all Burton bindings along with new compatibility for select competitor's bindings such as Union, Forum and many others (Channel-compatible disc may need to be purchased separately for some brands).

The Channel allows you to micro-adjust stance width, angle, and toe-to-heel centering with ease while at the same time dispersing energy for added rebound and snap.

Dragonfly™ 600g Core - Use of end-grain woods in impact zones allows Burton to swap heavier woods for lighter weight species without sacrificing strength.

Multizone™ EGD™ (Engineered Grain Direction) - A Burton exclusive. Manipulating the angles and direction of wood grain placement within the core results in ultimate edge-hold, response, and durability. In four separate zones, the wood grain is perpendicular to the core adjacent to The Channel - the area from which a rider's power emanates - for ultimate strength and edge control.

Infinite™ Ride Construction - A Burton exclusive technology allows their boards to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Spring-loaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

FSC™ Certified - Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™ C124994) certified. The FSC™ is an independent non-profit that promotes environmentally sound management of forests.

45° Carbon Highlights Hi-Voltage Stringers - Carbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce overall weight and fine-tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. A 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.

Sintered WFO Base - Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays "Wide F!#@ing Open" all season in any condition.

3 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 3 years from the time of purchase! Warranty includes structural defects only and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.

Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.

Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness that reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

Balanced Freeride Geometry - Balanced Freeride Geometry ends the debate between directional or twin board shapes with setback camber and sidecuts that are centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.

Super Sap® Epoxy - Resin formulated with bio-based materials, reducing the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board.

Burton Family Tree Speed Date Snowboard
This board kills pow, groomers, chunder, and even some crispy ice coast park laps. Stiffer in the nose and tail to keep you charging, but softer in the center for railing deep turns and some berm turns.
