For the past 20 years, Jeremy Jones has been tailoring every detail of his Flagship model to put out one of the best freeride snowboards known to man. New for 2018, the Flagship's Power Core has been re-profiled for better torsional response between the feet making it one of the best ones yet. This board sports the tried and true Directional Camber with Rocker profile, perfect for ripping through powder, around trees and dropping chutes. The Medium Stiff flex and Power V Basalt Stringers make for an extremely responsive ride while the Progressive Sidecut and Traction Tech increase edge hold to keep you in complete control while carving. Staying above the pow is no chore thanks to the big Spoon 3.0 nose. This Transworld Good Wood Award Winner supports Jeremy's climate change organization, "Protect Our Winters" and 1% For The Planet by using materials like Recycled ABS sidewalls, Triax Fiberglass and Recycled Steel Edges. Factory tuned and waxed, this big mountain shred-stick is ready to race your friends down the steeps the second you get it.

Key Features

Jones Directional Rocker - A hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and slight camber between the bindings. The rocker tip gives the nose added float and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot gives you added edge hold and response. A slightly rocker tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.

Traction Tech - Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.

“Traction Tech is a critical feature for rockered boards. Rocker improves glide in mixed conditions, but the decreased edge contact makes it harder to really lock into your turns and hold a solid edge. Traction Tech is crucial to offset the edge drift of rocker.” - Jeremy Jones

Power Core - Triple density full wood core featuring hard wood bamboo stringers for added pop and durability plus paulownia for a lighter weight.

Triax Fiberglass - This lightweight, multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate provides torsional stiffness, pop and response for a precise controlled ride in a multitude of terrain and snow conditions.

Power V Basalt Stringers - Natural pre-cured basalt stringers transfer power from under your feet to the tips of the board to help eliminate nose and tail chatter.

Sintered 9900 Base - Made from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and Carbon. This ultra-fast base is easy to repair and fast.

The Hype

Transworld Good Wood Award Winner - Selected as a Good Wood winner by Transworld Magazine - chosen for quality snowboard construction and rideability.

Progressive Sidecut - Delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

Blunt Nose = Float - How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow condition more than an inch deep is dictated by its front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow, watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow means you are plowing through it, which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer board tip without the added length or swing weight.

Flip Flop Base Graphics - By flip-flopping the base graphic colors, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced by increasing the material yield.

Recycled ABS - ABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improves the sustainability of their snowboards by only using recycled plastic.

1% For The Planet - Jones Snowboards has committed to contribute at least one percent of their annual sales to environmental causes. The mission of 1% for the Planet is to "build, support and activate an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet."

Oversize Recycled Steel Edges - All Jones boards are made with oversize recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.

Supports "Protect Our Winters" - Protect Our Winters (POW) was started in 2007 by pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones, owner of Jones Snowboards, who witnessed first-hand the impact of climate change on North America's mountains.

After being turned away from areas that had once been ride-able and seeing resorts closed due to lack of snow, Jones decided to take action by founding POW, whose mission is to engage and mobilize winter sports communities to educate others about the growing problem of climate change and its negative effects on the environment.

Jones Snowboards Flagship Snowboard
I'm going on 30 plus years of snowboarding. I picked up the Flagship in the Fall of 2013 to replace my coveted Burton Vapor (Burton no longer made a 166). After a full two seasons on this board, I am still astounded by the speed, control and life in this board. I am 6'2" and 240 pounds. I kill equipment but not the flagship. It isn't the lightest board, nor is it chatter free but these do not get in the way of complete and total control which equates to full confidence. Buy this board and you will slay boilerplate at Mach speeds while groms and gapers look up at you in awe. My next board will be the carbon flagship. Why? Why not.

Jones Snowboards Flagship Snowboard (Closeout)
A very light and very fast board. Rockers and camber work well, edging and stringers are sweet. Great graphics are an added bonus.
