Cupsole - Durable and shock-absorbing to provide the best impact protection against hard landings. Cupsoles generally last longer than a vulcanized sole but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.

Adidas Liberty Cup Skate Shoes - footwear white/chalk white/hi-res yellow
Been skating vulcanized shoes since I started years ago, lately have grown tired of the mounting foot pain so I thought I'd give cupsoles a try. Bought these on looks and a hope of pain relief. At first they felt pretty weird, but they broke in quickly and the more I got used to them the more I liked them. Now, I think they have become my all-time favorite skate shoe; can't believe I denied myself this comfort all those years. Board feel and grip are awesome too. Love these kicks! I just bought a second pair, but a half-size down: I'd forgotten that Adidas runs a little different than everyone else, especially their half-sizes are weird. After you've skated in these shoes for a half hour or so they kind of "open up" and get a little roomier, so I think even though the half-size smaller pair is a bit too tight when you first put them on, they will ultimately be better for skate sessions. I think. But you might have to experiment a bit with sizing if you don't normally wear Adidas, I'm not sure... BTW, these are good if you find a lot of skate shoes way too narrow and prefer shoes that are actually shaped more like a real foot.
