What Herion did with the Long Egg was use the same mold for their short wheelbase boards and drill an extended wheelbase. This doesn't work. The rear truck holes were pushed too far back causing the baseplate of Indy 215's (or any 10" truck) to extend over the bend of the tail by 1/8"-1/4" making the leverage wrong. The board feels too nose heavy, causing the wheels not to sit in to concave/wheel well pocket creating less clearance from wheel bite. The double-drilled holes for the nose have the same problem, especially if set up on the longest 15.5" wheelbase making the front truck hang over the bend of the nose. The back truck holes had to be redrilled, moving them 1/2" in, shortening the WB to 14.625." This makes the trucks pretty much centered on the mold/concave. The board now feels balanced and responsive and the leverage feels right. The shape, width, and longer length of the board are perfect, but the extended wheelbase is no bueno. It would be a 5-star review if it weren't for the long wheelbase that doesn't work on this board. If you are confident in drilling new truck holes then it's an awesome deck.
