The HUF Soto skate shoes are a cupsole in disguise. You'll still get that big impact protection, but you'll forget about it when messing around in the street. Thanks to a clean design aesthetic, and an extra grippy and soft Infinity Rubber outsole, you'll think you're wearing your favorite pair of broken in vulcs.

  • Cupsole
HUF Technology
  • Infinity Rubber Outsole

Cupsole - Cupsoles are durable, well-cushioned and provide the best impact protection against hard landings. The sole consists of a single rubber layer, reinforced with glue then stitched to the upper. Cupsoles generally last longer than vulcanized soles, but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.

HUF Technology

Infinity Rubber Outsole - A specially formulated rubber compound that is significantly more durable and grippier than standard rubber formulas. The rubber's chemistry is fine-tuned to produce a softer, stickier feel improving grip performance on a skateboard. The softer durometer of the rubber also maximizes flexibility to aid board feel, while simultaneously outlasting standard rubbers in abrasion testing.

HUF Soto Skate Shoes - black
I'm really picky about the shoes I skate, but these excelled in every way. Boardfeel is stellar, durability is great too. All in all a great shoe.

These shoes are really good. They're the first Huf shoes I got so I was curious about how they would hold up.

Like some other people mentioned, they fit a little bit long. I usually wear 10.5 and they felt like almost an 11 but not quite. It's only a tiny amount though and going a half size down might make them feel too small. Since getting these I tried a pair of Boyd's and also a pair of Galaxy's and it seems like all Huf's have this same fit so if you're able to try any of those on then you can get a general idea of how these fit.

I have wide feet and these are good for people with wide feet. I've been skating them for a month, but I was wearing them and walking in them for a month before that. Usually the sole would be all bowed out by this point but these look good still and only bowed out a tiny bit.

The leather is holding up really well. Its a little slippery at first, but that only lasted about 10 minutes and after that it felt as grippy as any suede shoe. I was going back and forth between skating these and skating NB 533's and I couldn't really feel any difference between the suede New Balances and the leather Huf's once the leather was broken in.

These white soto's do not dissapoint, pure quality right out of the box and worth every penny.
However, they dont fit true to size in my case. I got a 9 and they feel like a 9.5 Then again , these are my first cupsoles in years and maybe that's just the way they roll.

Are these true to size?
Answered by Graig A (Tactics Employee) on 6/15/2016
Yes these are true to size and I would recommend ordering the size you would normally wear. And I would make sure to try them on inside to make sure they fit so you can return them if they do not
