If you don't wanna destroy your shoes as fast and still have good grip this is a good choice. Not as grippy as mob, which for some people is a good thing.

Asked by Tim on 7/12/2017
Is it better to purchase a bigger size and then trim it to fit the deck? Also, would an exacto knife or utility knife work to trim it?

We would recommend ordering one that is wider than you board and then trimming it. An exacto knife or utility knife would work great. Cutting the griptape will leave scuffs or scratches on the knife so we would recommend using a blade don't mind getting scratched.

That means the griptape is 9 inches across and 33 inches long, which would be plenty for your 8 inch deck.
