The ever popular Griffin now features the VLK technology, with a fine-tuned vulcanized outsole, herringbone tread for grip, and a highly durable toe box to help reduce wear caused by ollies and flip tricks.
Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. The sole consists of several layers of rubber, glued together then attached to the upper with rubber foxing tape. Vulcanized soles don’t provide as much foot protection or support as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
VLK Performance Vulc - Crated Midsole: Adds structure and durability while protecting against heel bruise. The crated design increases support without sacrificing flexibility.
Radial Edge: The rounded edge provides the performance of a cupsole while maintaining the feel of a vulcanized shoe. This improves heel stability and board feel while offering a minimal break in period.
Herringbone Tread - This outsole pattern is used on Select Lakai styles and provides optimal performance both on and off the board.
