A wonderful beginner board setup, the Drop Carve is a freeride board with its symmetrical shape, but is equally good for freestyle since it has both a nose and tail to work with. The deck is constructed with bamboo making it lightweight and responsive. You'll be stoked to know that Landyachtz builds this setup with super reliable Grizzly trucks and Hawgs fatty wheels which are great for both slides and mellow downhill.
Another nice feature Landyachtz offers is their commitment to helping preserve the trees for future generations. So feel good when you buy one of these boards because this Canadian company will plant a tree. Pretty awesome industry leading stuff, eh?

Freeride - Featuring concaves that create pockets for your feet and shorter wheelbases, freeride boards are meant to make power slides as natural as your choice to skate.
Freestyle - Freestyle is all about expression so you'll see a wide variety of flex, shape and length in this category. If you have longboard dancing and flat-ground trick goals, you're on the right page.
Drop Through - Drop Through boards lower your center of gravity giving you a more responsive and stable ride.
Standard - Standard decks are the most predictable and some swear they break-in better than other profiles. Great for any skill level.
Symmetrical - If you ever think you want to ride your board backwards (freeride/freestyle) then a symmetrical longboard shape will help you with the learning curve. Other than that, it's all preference.
Cutouts - Cutouts around the wheels provide the extra space required to prevent wheelbite.
Double Kicks - With a kicktail at the nose and tail of the board, ollies and flip tricks will become part of your arsenal. Double kicks are most often found on freestyle boards, but can add versatility to any skateboard.
Medium Concave - Medium concave shows as a slight rise towards the edges of the deck. Choosing the right concave can be tough because it's all personal preference but you can't go wrong if you don't already have a preference.
5 Ply - 5 plies sandwiched together for a lightweight, flexible ride.
Bamboo + Fiberglass - This durable construction sandwiches 3 plies of bamboo between 2 layers of fiberglass for a very flexible and responsive feel.
Bear Grizzly 852 181mm Trucks - An enlarged bushing seat and an 8-hole hardware pattern make the ride more customizable to guarantee the right feel. A beefed-up, heat-treated hanger provides strength and grinds butter-smooth. Machine-faced hangers keep bearings flush and spinning straight.
Hawgs 63mm Fatty Wheels - With a wide contact patch (50mm) and 78a durometer rating these fast-rolling offset Fatties are very capable on any terrain. 14mm of urethane for long slides and good times.
Space Balls ABEC 7 Bearings - With integrated spacers built in, your wheels will always be in alignment and chatter-free. Space Balls let you crank down your axle nuts with confidence and keep your wheels rolling smooth, straight and fast.
One Board One Tree - By partnering with TreeCanada; for every skateboard sold Landyachtz will plant a tree. One tree produces at least 60 boards. So one tree will turn into at least 60 new trees planted.
Variable Concave - This concave will be more aggressive in certain places to give your front foot a bigger well to stay planted in for long downhill runs, or to increase grip at the edges of the boards to help you out when initiating a slide.
