As a freeride deck, the Switchblade has magical abilities. Straight up, it's one of the most durable boards on the market and it features a revamped concave that is universally comfortable so don't be surprised if you start skating everywhere on this one. The Switchblade's versatility will carry you down fast hills, through crazy-long standees, and even commuting to school/work and back.
Commuter - Longboards for general cruising, ideal for experienced skaters and beginners alike. Never make the boring mistake of walking again: get your skate-commute on!
Downhill - A longboard designated for downhill is crafted specifically for high speeds. Get your full face helmet and head to the hills.
Freeride - Often featuring concaves that create pockets for your feet and shorter wheelbases, freeride boards are meant to make power slides as natural as your choice to skate.
Drop Through - Drop Through boards lower your center of gravity giving you a more responsive and stable ride.
Micro Drop - Micro Drop skateboards give skaters more spots to lock in your feet for steep hills and long standees.
Symmetrical - If you ever think you want to ride your board backwards (think freeride) than a symmetrical longboard shape will help you with the learning curve. Other than that, it's all preference.
Cutouts - Cutouts around the wheels provide the extra space required to prevent wheelbite.
W-Concave - Added concave in the shape of a W. You have a little more support where your toes/heels will anchor for slides, making this a common choice for freeride.
9-Ply Canadian Maple - Provides a solid ride without a ton of weight. Built with no flex whatsoever, this deck is ideal for high-speeds and super durable.
One Board One Tree - To give back to the environment, for every skateboard sold, Landyachtz will plant a tree. One tree produces at least 60 boards. So one tree will turn into at least 60 new trees planted. When you buy a Landyachtz deck, know that you are making a difference and improving the environment for future generations to enjoy.
High W Concave - Variable concave with a rise at the foot platform edges, gives inner foot support, position location and prevents foot-wheel bite.
Suggested Hardware for Risers - Landyachtz decks are thicker than traditional decks, so longer screws are needed when adding risers to your complete. When building a custom Landyachtz complete through Skateboard Builder, use the following Risers and Hardware guide to ensure your deck mounts up correctly:
No Riser = 1 1/4" Hardware
1/8" Risers = 1 1/2" Hardware
1/2" Risers = 2" Hardware
Most Angled Risers = 2" Hardware
