Freestyle - Freestyle is all about expression so you'll see a wide variety of flex, shape and length in this category. If you have longboard dancing and flat-ground trick goals, you're on the right page.
Top Mount - The classic skate mount. Trucks are mounted from the top to sit flush with the bottom of the board for that proven ride and feel.
Standard - Standard decks are the most predictable and some swear they break-in better than other profiles. Great for any skill level.
Directional - Directional decks may have a dramatically asymmetrical shape or just a slight taper which can be great for anything from mild cruising to intense downhill; but of course it's all just preference.
Double Kicks - With a kicktail at the nose and tail of the board, ollies and flip tricks will become part of your arsenal. Double kicks are most often found on freestyle boards, but can add versatility to any skateboard.
Wheel Wells/Flares - For the boards that don't need full wheel cutouts, wheel wells are beveled out of the board to give the extra clearance needed to avoid wheelbite.
Medium Concave - Medium concave shows as a slight rise towards the edges of the deck. Choosing the right concave can be tough because it's all personal preference but you can't go wrong if you don't already have a preference.
Bhangra Construction - Two cores of vert-lam bamboo with cork in the middle for weight reduction and dampening. The top of the board is a cross-ply of bamboo vert-lam to strengthen the board across the width and ply in the center to stiffen up the flex 1 version.
Custom Pre-Grip - This board comes pre-gripped from Loaded with an aggressive black griptape designed to provide maximum coverage while allowing the board to flex naturally, providing enhanced traction and control for sliding and pumping, as well as creating a serious "lock-in" on the nose and tail.
Bhangra Setup Tips - Trucks: 180mm (10" axle) reverse-kingpin trucks recommended: Paris, Randal, Bears, etc. Paris with standard bushings offer the most wheel clearance and best fit with the wheel wells. If you choose Randals or Bears, Loaded recommends the use of a riser pad to ensure full wheel clearance.
Wheels: This board is designed to ride with 70mm or smaller wheels. 75mm wheels are too big and require risers to avoid the risk of wheel bite. Plus, 70mm is the perfect, lightweight size to throw around, do tricks on, and slide.
Adam Stokowski, Dane Webber and Adam Colton like this board set up with 86a Stimulus wheel for sliding and shuvit spin moves. The 86a is a good all around wheel for their style and provides extra leeway: when landing a shuvit wrong, the wheels will slide the extra bit around instead of gripping and bucking you off. A softer wheel will be more comfortable for cruising long distances, cross-stepping, manuals and such.
