Overview

The S2000 Insulated Jacket is a performance shell built for maximum warmth and protection with 2 Ply Flat Weave Dry Fabric that includes mechanical stretch for movement. It features a robust, PFAS-free 20K/20K waterproof/breathable membrane and fully taped seams to seal out moisture, plus quilted insulation to keep you warm. Designed for versatile riding, it includes YKK Vislon zipper underarm vents for temperature control, a removable 3-point adjustable hood, and a powder skirt and goggle/glove mesh pockets for all-day utility.

Fully Taped - Having outerwear with fully taped seams means that on the inside of the jacket all the seams are covered in tape to provide the most effective waterproofing. It can be considered a key feature if you live in a wet climate or are planning on wearing the jacket during heavy rains. The downside is that due to the full taping there is less breathability than you'd experience with critically taped seams.

Insulation

Polyester Fill - Polyester insulation may not be as warm or light as down, but it's far easier to clean and performs better in wet conditions. If cost is a concern or you live in a wet climate then polyester insulation might be your best option.

Insulation Rating (g)

Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the outerwear.
