The Encore OG is an all-mountain boot designed for beginner and intermediate level riders who like a softer, more forgiving flex and the ease of a single Boa lacing system. A V1 UltraCush footbed is installed to keep you comfortable all season, even when you land flat off a big kicker, and the V1 Waffle Lug Outsole produces incredible grip and vibration absorption for an overall smoother ride. The heat-moldable V1 Liner features its own built-in UltraCush™ cushioning system for maximum comfort with added arch support and heel hold. If you're looking for a boot that can ride a little bit of everything and keep you comfy and cozy while doing it, go with the Encore OG.

Key Features

Boa Coiler Closure System - This tongue mounted single reel system utilizes a springloaded lace spool to automatically retract the lace cable slack for quick and efficient closure. Different lace guide radii are used to optimize closure force in specific areas of the boot.

V1 UltraCush™ Liner - The V1 liner is amazingly simple, delivering comfort and essential support in a streamlined design. It is Vans' most flexible liner, built to be functional and forgiving for riders of all levels.

- UltraCush interior cushioning layer

- Dual density, heat moldable core

- Closed seam brushed fleece cuff

- Comfort Flex toe box

V1 UltraCush™ Footbed - Offering a 3D-molded anatomical shape, the V1 footbed provides effective mechanical support and the proven damping performace of Vans' UltraCush construction.

- Single density UltraCush construction.

- 3D molded anatomical shape

- Airflow perforations

- Nylex moisture wicking top sheet

V1 Harness - Attached to the inside shell of the boot, this is Vans' lightest and most simple harness designed to ensure effective support and heel hold by securing the liner to prevent movement.

Heat Retention 360° - All Vans boots feature a newly improved thermal retention layer that provides a 360° wrap of the toe box and between the outsole and the liner. This essential layer keeps heat in and cold out, ensuring all-day warmth and comfort.

Instep Flex Zone - Maintaining flex not only in your boot but also when your boot is strapped onto a binding describes the main problem that the Instep Flex technology solves.

V1 Waffle Lug Outsole - The V1 Waffle Lug outsole pays tribute to the Original Waffle skate outsole giving you that timeless vulcanized look that put Vans on the map. This sole is made from Vans' special recipe rubber compound for traction and features an aggressive reverse waffle lug pattern for all-mountain and street performance.

Vans Encore OG Women's Snowboard Boots - black/white
I’m a beginner, so I don’t really have a lot of experience regarding what’s a good boot for who and for what but I purchased these for my first pair of boots and they worked out great. Wore them for 6 hours the first day out and 7 the next and only had a little soreness but that’s to be expected when breaking in. The heat moldable liner is nice, by the second day I could feel that they had started to conform to my feet. Great support and flex and no toe collapsing so far. Vans are some of my favorite shoes so I decided to go with Vans boots based on reviews and familiar sizing. I wear a 9 in Vans and got a 9 in the boots. If I could go back, I would have gone up a 1/2 or full size so I could wear thicker socks or double up but even with the thin socks I wore, my feet were warm, dry, and comfortable. Definitely recommend these boots. 10/10 for me.
