Overview

The Typo is a step up from the Basic, geared towards intermediate, all-mountain snowboarders who want a versatile board that can ride a bit of everything. The hybrid CamRock profile offers the power and pop of camber and the loftiness and float of rocker to create the perfect setup for any terrain type. Carving technical lines has never been easier because the slightly setback stance and lightweight full poplar core maximize maneuverability and the UnderBite Edges help by distributing your energy to the right places for fast turn initiation. From tapping rails in the park to surfing pillow lines in the backcountry, this high performance board makes it easy to progress your skills no matter where you ride.

Key Features

CamRock - A perfect blend of camber and rocker. The Twin CamRock is defined by a tail rocker and a slightly increased tip rocker with just a little camber between your legs for increased pop.

Increased rocker on both ends of the board gives you more maneuverability, specifically increased in the CamRock. This means better performance in pow for a tip and tail that is catch-free, providing awesome turn initiating and landing switches.

UnderBite Edges - Underbite Edges redistribute a rider's weight in such a way that makes turning more effortless and gives you more hold on your edges. The inward divots reduce and disrupt the surface area of the edge while the board is turning, however it only affects the edge that's making contact with the snow. These divots also break up the sidecut into three key zones, focusing your body weight onto areas that initiate, hold, and release turns.

Lifetime Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for lifetime of the product with the original owner. Warranty only includes structural defects and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.

Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.

Core

Full Poplar Core - This is the baseline wood core that strikes a predictable balance between durability, consistent flex and a lightweight feel.

Laminates

Biax Fiberglass - A balanced mix of fiber glass for neutral, torsional flex properties.

Base

Sintered Spec Base - YES calls this Sintered Spec because its hardness and chemical properties are very close to true sintered and its on-snow performance is also very close to true sintered - but it’s formed using the extrusion process. How? Well the raw material is actually pre-consumer recycled (meaning it never left the factory) sintered base material. So while the heating and extrusion process has softened it slightly, it’s still much harder than true Extruded.

Great board

I weigh 160lbs, and found board a little stiffer than I prefer...but it’s advertised as being on stiff side. I’m early intermediate level, and found board handled really well on hard pack/scrappy blue and blac runs, giving me much more confidence than with rentals. No need to de-tune edges, as they are just right out of box—didn’t catch edge once entire week at Vail last week, all kind of conditions. Not a park board, but not marked as one (nor do I need one). Great for cruising down steep slopes or catwalks or anything in between.
