The Converse One Star Pro skate shoes are a callback to the OG 1974 edition and early '90s reissue that was embraced for its minimalist design and excellent board feel.

Sole

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. The sole consists of several layers of rubber, glued together then attached to the upper with rubber foxing tape. Vulcanized soles don’t provide as much foot protection or support as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.

Features

Cons Traction Rubber - Converse maintains their iconic blue outsole and has updated their classic Converse vulcanized rubber compound to increase board traction for today's skateboarder and offers 70% increased griptape traction

Molded OrthoLite Sockliner - Specially developed Converse double density molded OrthoLite sockliner features heel and forefoot pads in high impact areas for energy dispersion.

OrthoLite foam fights against fungus, bacteria and odor through a patented environmentally friendly biocide

High level of breathability and moisture wicking, OrthoLite's open cell polyurethane foam is 95-100% breathable allowing air to circulate through the sockliner.

Zoom Air Bag Heel - Nike Zoom technology combines pressurized air with internal fibers to deliver highly responsive cushioning that springs back fast for maximum impact protection.

High Density Memory Foam Collar - Memory foam in a key place to make skating even more comfortable.

Rubber Backed Suede - Added durability thanks to the rubber backed suede, the rubber layer is applied to the back of the suede to enhance durability and extend the life of the upper, these shoes are tough.

Great shoe, but doesn’t last long

Converse One Star Pro Skate Shoes
The shoes look incredible and skate amazing. I’m still working on kickflips and am not very good at them still but I am able to land a few with these.
However, the suede does not last long. After 2.5 weeks of skating, I made my first hole in the ollie area. Would’ve been nice if there was a rubber layer under that will make it last longer.
The boardfeel is pretty average. It’s not the best, but it’s not bad either.
Because it is a Converse shoe, they do run big. I usually wear a size 10, but I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly fine.
An additional side note is that the color of the shoe can stain your sock. It’s not a major problem for me as it washes off, but just be careful when wearing white socks.
Overall, I’m happy with the shoes and have no issues with skating them more in the future.

Converse One Star Pro Skate Shoes (Closeout) - white/obsidian/white
These shoes are great, but they are 1/2 size too long. I ordered and received my normal size, so it could be that Converse run large. Order accordingly!

Converse One Star Pro Skate Shoes
Good shoe. Runs an inch large. Feels comfortable. Holds up decent, lasts a long time. Worth the money. An all white colorway would be so crispy.

Converse One Star Pro Skate Shoes - obsidian/obsidian/white
This is my second pair of this style shoe. Great for wide feet, and tough outer construction. My last pair blew out at the edges, I guess because it is two-piece construction. But they lasted nearly a year with occasional skating, and I love the look and feel.

Converse One Star Pro Skate Shoes - black/white/black
Had to go down a full size on these, but after getting the right pair (with an easy return through tactics) these shoes were great. Only complaint is the tread wore away pretty fast, but even after going flat they endured longer than most.

We would recommend getting the 10.5 in these shoes as they should fit the same as a ctas pro.

I have chuck taylors in a womens 8.5 and everyone is saying i should size down from what i usually wear. would an 8.5 be too big or will these shoes fit the same as my other converse?
Answered by Graig A (Tactics Employee) on 8/31/2017
If you wear a women's 8.5 we would recommend a men's 6 or 6.5 in these shoes due to conversions and these shoes run about a half size larger.

I'm a size 10 in the Nike hyperfeel bruins so what size would I be in the one star pros?

These run slightly big so I would recommend purchasing a half size down for these.
