Airblaster and Gnu teamed up on this one, and surprise surprise, the result is a powerhouse. Recommended for intermediate to advanced riders, it comes with Gnu's C3 camber construction which boils down to pressure being focused between your feet for an improved carving experience and more edge grip on ice, which is only enhanced with their Mini Magne-Traction that acts like a serrated knife in the snow. This collab board was designed as an all mountain board with the versatile combination of Columbian Gold, Aspen, and Polonia core woods. These materials are just as light as they are strong. The directional shape was meant mostly for pow and bombing hills but can handle jumps well too. Feel stable at speed with tri-axial and bi-axial fiberglass used for the torsional stiffness you need, say, when you're headed to the half pipe. And don't worry about keeping up speed, the eco sublimated TNT base is dense and fast.

Key Features

C3 Camber/Banana Rocker Profile - Trapezoidal camber enhanced with Banana Tech for aggressive new traditionalists and weight lifters. Focuses pressure between your feet for carving, edge grip on ice. This profile is the most like traditional camber boards.

Mini Magne-Traction Serrated Edges - A mellower serrated edge than standard Magne-Traction gives great edge hold but with a bit more play in your turns.

Magne-Traction replaces the “two contact point” ski theory that conventional skis and snowboards have. Gnu's Magne-Traction boards have seven! Seven is more than two. With Magne-Traction, when your two outside contact points lose grip, you’ve still got five more to take over, which means you won’t fall as much. Control and turn initiation comes from under your feet, not a foot and a half to either side of your feet. Better edge hold. Climbs icy pipes! Turns ice into powder and rides like a skateboard!

Mervin Made: EcoUNREAL Manufacturing - All Gnu and Lib Tech snowboards are handcrafted by Mervin Manufacturing in the USA near Canada!

Mervin has been environmentally aware from the beginning for more than 25 years!

Select boards use non-petroleum based bio-plastics made from castor beans.

No cancer-causing toxic automotive lacquer clearcoats.

Soy-based elastomer sidewalls instead of toxic ABS.

Made using renewable forest products for all snowboard cores. Fast growing trees have long fibers and natural pop. Wood is nature's fiberglass!

Made with only low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) epoxy resin systems. Mervin's resin doesn't stink or make you dizzy.

Select boards use basalt fiber laminates, which is additive-free and less toxic than conventional fiberglass.

Mervin uses water-cleansed grinding systems to minimize airborne particulate levels.

The Mervin Factory has 2700% air replacement ventilation systems.

All wood sawdust is recycled as soil additive, plus scrap wood is donated to a local Mood Wood company that packages it as kindling and resells it.

All scrap plastics (base cutouts, etc) are recycled and are then reground and used to make new materials.

Water-based solvents used for cleansing (instead of petrochemical-based solvents).

Canola-based biodiesel heats the Mervin factory and is a renewable resource.

Handbuilt in the USA - Every Gnu is handmade by snowboarders with jobs in the USA.

G2 Columbian Gold/Aspen/Polonia Core - When you want a lightweight and lively board, look no further. Gnu builds boards with fast growing farmed eco woods selected specifically for their long fibers, light weight, strength, long lasting pop and great feel. This particular board uses the following woods:

Aspen: Light, strong and lively long fibers.

Columbian Gold: Fast growing farmed wood from south of the border. Ultra light, strong, long lively fibers.

Polonia: Super ultra light, strong, long lively fibers.

Bi-Axial Glass - 2-way fiber orientation. Engineered to make the difficult easy.

Tri-Axial Glass - 3-way fiber orientation. Engineered to make the difficult even easier.

Eco Sublimated TNT Base - A dense material offers you an incredibly durable and resilient base. It also means you'll have a really fast ride. With a base like this one, you'll be ahead of the pack for sure.

Eco-Sub PBT Top Sheet - Sounds technical right? It just means the top sheet is made from sublimated polyester material that's great for vibrant yet durable graphics, which means a long lasting image. When the graphics are as good as Gnu's you'll be glad you have it.

UHMW External Sidewalls - Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls. Fast, rugged, hard, waterproof.

1 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 1 year from the time of purchase. Warranty includes structural defects only and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.

Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.

Since it is an "air" blaster... Will this board land and ride away switch? Or straight airs only?
Answered by Graig A (Tactics Employee) on 9/21/2017
This is a collaboration with the brands Airblaster and Gnu and is a directional board. So it is not recommended for riding switch.
