Designed to be ridden in your usual stance with added heelside edge hold

Increased support and control for bigger or aggressive riders

Designed by Forest Bailey, this directional, freeride/freestyle board offers balanced asymmetric geometries strategically tuned for more advanced and aggressive riders. The C3 hybrid profile is camber-dominant for maximum pop and response with mild rocker in the middle for smoother turns. The Level 2 Asymmetrical shape gives you a tighter sidecut and softer flex on the heel side edge, with a larger sidecut and more powerful flex on the toe side edge for easier transitions and a more natural overall feel. If you're looking for a progressive freeride board that kills it in the park and all over the resort, the Spasym is the way to go.

Key Features

C3 Camber/Banana Rocker Profile - Trapezoidal camber enhanced with Banana Tech for aggressive new traditionalists and weight lifters. The camber focuses pressure between your feet for carving, and edge grip on ice while the subtle Banana rocker gives freestyle freedom with maximum end to end stability for big, high speed lines. This profile is the most like traditional camber boards.

Asym Level 2 - To really progress, you have to push the limits of the gear you ride. That's where Asymmetrical board design comes into play. When you want to feel a powerful, aggressive, difference, Level 2 Asym does the trick. The wood used inside the board is softer on the heelside edge making the flex a bit easier. The sidecut is more aggressive so it's easier to transition from toe to heel. Lastly, the edge contact is also shorter which means it's harder to catch that edge when you're landing/riding switch. Welcome to the future.

Magne-Traction Serrated Edges - Replaces the “two contact point” ski theory that conventional skis and snowboards have. Gnu's Magne-Traction boards have seven! Seven is more than two. With Magne-Traction, when your two outside contact points lose grip, you’ve still got five more to take over, which means you won’t fall as much. Control and turn initiation comes from under your feet, not a foot and a half to either side of your feet. Better edge hold. Climbs icy pipes! Turns ice into powder and rides like a skateboard!

Aspen/Paulownia Core - Gnu builds boards with fast growing farmed eco woods selected specifically for their long fibers, light weight, strength, long lasting pop and great feel. This particular board uses the following woods:

Aspen: Light, strong and lively long fibers.

Paulownia: Light, strong and poppy.

UHMW External Sidewalls - Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls. Fast, rugged, hard, waterproof.

Bi-Axial Glass - 2-way fiber orientation. Engineered to make the difficult easy.

Tri-Axial Glass - 3-way fiber orientation. Engineered to make the difficult even easier.

Eco-Sub PBT Top Sheet - Sounds technical right? It just means the top sheet is made from sublimated polyester material that's great for vibrant yet durable graphics, which means a long lasting image. When the graphics are as good as Gnu's you'll be glad you have it.

Eco Sublimated Co-Sintered Base - Fast, tough, and holds wax so your days in the park or out in a more urban environment stay lit from the first trick to the last. Less time adding wax or doing repairs means more time snowboarding, and that's all anyone really wants, right?

1 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 1 year from the time of purchase. Warranty includes structural defects only and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.

Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.
