The HUF Classic Lo Essential skate shoes deliver the flexibility and board feel of a vulcanized sole in classic low top style. The insole is perforated for breathability and reinforced with extra padding to improve impact protection. The hardened rubber toe cap and heel strategically overlay seams to prevent blowouts and prolong flick. HUF also engineered the outsole with a custom tread pattern and deep flex grooves to equally distribute weight and enhance grip.

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. The sole consists of several layers of rubber, glued together then attached to the upper with rubber foxing tape. Vulcanized soles don’t provide as much foot protection or support as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.

Rubber Toe Cap - Adds durability and a unique look.

HUF Classic Lo Essential Skate Shoes
overall this shoe is a pretty nice shoe, but there are some down sides to it.

pros: suede uppers (its suede on the ollie and heelflip area so there won't be any holes any time soon)
rubber toe cap (i found this to be very useful considering the fact that i rip vans really fast because i flick with my toe, so if you have problems with your shoe ripping from flip tricks, you won't have to worry about it anymore with this shoe)
stylish (although i could care less about others opinions, i have gotten lots of compliments on this shoe, so that could be a good thing)

cons: the insole really sucks for high impact or just walking around in general, if you're just a flatground skater or someone that just started, these shoes would be perfect for you. but if you like doing stairs and high things like gaps and stuff, then i would recommend replacing the insole because i bruised my feet after trying to boneless off a gap.)
no padding (this really isn't a problem for me because i love a low profile shoe where my feet could feel free. but this seems to be a problem for most people, so if you like a shoe that has padding and your feet could feel snug in, this is not the shoe for you.)

the reason why i gave this shoe 3 stars was mostly because of the insoles, they kind of just ruined the shoe for me, but insoles really aren't that expensive so if you do high impact things, make sure you got a few extra bucks to get some new insoles.

What material are these made of? Canvas or suede??
Answered by Elijah W (Tactics Employee) on 5/23/2016
These have a suede starting from the toe and tongue all the way back to where the stitching on the side of the shoe ends. The rest of the shoe will be canvas.
