Pulling inspiration from Lakai's first ever vulcanized shoe, the Howard Select, the Newport is designed with a simple silhouette but loaded with performance features. The Para-Mount™ outsole with Hex tread give the shoe ample cushioning, grip, and longevity. The Delux-Lite™ sock liner is designed with a deep heel cup for stability and contoured arch comfort.

  • Vulcanized
  • Breathable Perforated Tongue

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don't provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.

Delux-Lite Sockliner - Uses premium foam that never packs out and is designed with a deep contour heel and arch for superior comfort.

Hex Tread - Hex shaped tread for 360° flexibility made from dual density rubber.

Para-Mount Advanced Density Outsole - Para-Mount outsole technology utilizing dual density rubber to absorb high impact and reduce fatigue.

Reinforced in arch and medial sidewall for added protection and support.

Lakai Newport Skate Shoes
Really loving the Para-Mount Advanced Density Outsole and Delux-Lite Sockliner. This footbed is wide and feels comfortable on my food; best I've felt on any shoe in a while. Getting older this is becoming the main feature of a shoe I look into and the Lakai Newport delivers. Also recently purchased the Lakai Bristol with this same Para-Mount Outsole and Delux-Lite Sockliner and again came out super comfortable on my feet even after a long skate sesh. Been skating Lakai's since about 99-00 and I have recommended them since and still do now.
