Features

Type

Titanium - Titanium is an incredibly resilient metal and is light weight with high levels of tension/compression strength. The exceptional anti-corrosive and anti-rust properties of titanium make it perfect for bearings, as it can be exposed to water for long periods of time without rusting, even more so than stainless steel.

Modus Titanium Skateboard Bearings
After an inquiry with modus about what parts are titanium they promptly clarified on their homepage that it is not solid titanium (would be very unusual for this kind of bearings/use). The titanium carbide coating of steel provides corrosion protection and harder surface, but does not give any weight reduction. A bit on the expensive side, but should likely last longer to compensate. Lubricated with grease means they do not spin completely freely, but can be degreased (without worying about corrosion) and oil lubricated.
