Overview

An update to the 344, the 345 offers the same clean, low-profile design while adding improved fit and board feel. The 345's low-profile, vulc construction puts you close to your board, while an ABZORB+ insert provides impact protection for sending it down big sets. A reinforced toe provides superior flick and durability, plus the one-piece construction means less seems to rip! New Balance up's their game again with this new and improved skate shoe.

Sole

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don't provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.

Multi-Layered Toe Cap - Multiple layers adds durability so you can skate your new shoes even longer.

ABZORB+® Insert - A New Balance custom insert with added protection in high-impact areas

Nice skate show but runs small and too narrow... like painful narrow. Great rubber on the soles though..

New Balance 345 Skate Shoes - white/red
Most comfortable shoe I’ve worn, wears through in about a month, but that’s about normal for my skate shoes.

New Balance 345 Skate Shoes
Got these shoes for skating and they actually do pretty well. Stiff at first but they break in real nice they feel like cupsoles at first but after awhile they have nice board control. Also offer a nice amount of protection insoles are good too would definitely recommend I don’t think you would be disappointed

New Balance 345 Skate Shoes - sepia/gunmetal
I was skeptical at first and wasn't in love with the idea of a running shoe company getting a piece of the skateboard action, but I have to say, they did their homework and designed a shoe that is purpose-built for skating. The 345 is lightly padded and has a decent insole that supports and doesn't sacrifice board-feel. Even with being a low-top they offer great support and gives some confidence to beat ankles. If going with the swoop is a turn-off for you, try the Big N. They are a smaller company and seem less likely to try and rule the world. I think I'll stay for a while. They do run short so bump up a 1/2 size.

Do these fit like the pj Ladd shoes? The pjs were too narrow these look a little wider.
Answered by Graig A (Tactics Employee) on 1/23/2018
These will be similar to the PJ Ladd's but a little bit wider.
