In the course of a day, conditions can change faster than you can scout out the powderlines, so be prepared with the Snowshot 3-in-1 jacket. This versatile jacket can be worn three ways thanks to the removable zip-out 60g insulated liner. You can wear the durable shell alone as a simple H2No® approved waterproof and breathable barrier, you can wear the warm reversible liner, or you can wear both combined for ultimate warmth and protection in frigid riding conditions. A moisture wicking polyester mesh lining keeps you dry and easily slips over layers. The 2-way adjustable hood is removable and helmet compatible, and a tall collar protects your neck from the wind and snow. Vents under the arm let you quickly release heat, and the snow skirt attaches to any Patagonia snow pants to keep it secure and in place. Embedded in the jacket is a RECCO® chip which will help rescue crews locate you in case you get buried in an avy. Be ready for any conditions with the 3-in-1 Snowshot.
RECCO® - RECCO® is an advanced avalanche rescue system hidden in this outerwear that will save your butt when you need it. RECCO® is utilized by more than 700 rescue organizations worldwide to assist in the efficient location of burials. RECCO® technology enables rapid directional pinpointing of a victim's precise location using harmonic radar. Hopefully you'll never have to use it, but if you do you'll be glad it's there.
Thermogreen® - Lightweight 100% polyester (90% recycled) that stays warm, even when wet.
Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the outerwear.
Recycled Polyester - Approximately 31% of plastic bottles produced in the United States are made from a material called PolyEthylene Terephtalate, "PET" or "PETE." Usually clear or green, the plastic is mostly used for consumer goods such as soda bottles and food jars, but once recycled and processed, it has a wide variety of eco-friendly applications. While recycling is not the end-all, be-all solution for ridding the world of the plastic bag beast, it is a sustainable path for plastic products and takes less energy to produce than traditional polyester.
bluesign® Approved - Patagonia has worked with the independent bluesign standard since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption and to screen raw materials, including dyes and finishes used in Patagonia's supply chain.
bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, audits the energy, water and chemical usage of its members and helps them achieve continuous, long-term environmental improvement.
H2No® Performance Standard - H2No Performance Standard is Patagonia’s benchmark for waterproof, breathability and durability, which ensures a high level of long-term performance backed by their Ironclad Guarantee. H2No Performance Standard products undergo the most rigorous testing in the industry. The H2No Performance Standard for waterproof shell garments is 20,000mm before, and 10,000mm after their Killer Wash test (per JIS L 1092 B).
Jacket to Pant Interface - Connect your jacket to your pants for better protection from the elements.
DWR Coating - A Durable Water Resistant finish applied to the exterior of the garment.
