Elijah Berle's Vans Pro model shoe comes with Vans WaffleControl technology. With a reduction in the layers between your foot and the board, this deconstructed cupsole gives you superior boardfeel and responsiveness, while remaining grippy with Vans original waffle formula. A rubber toe cap adds extra durability and flick, while a layer of Duracap™ under the toe upper will ensure that these shoes last. The LuxLiner fit molds to the shape of your foot and makes it easy to slip these on and off.

Sole
Cupsole - Durable and shock-absorbing to provide the best impact protection against hard landings. Cupsoles generally last longer than a vulcanized sole but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.
Details
Original Waffle Outsole - Made with soles twice as thick so they would wear longer, this original formula combines durability with flexy board-feel to keep all the Vans' fans happy.
WaffleControl Construction - Vans has further advanced it's WaffleCup construction by decreasing the number of individual parts separating the foot from the board. Vans' WaffleControl technology delivers next-level board control, responsiveness, and built-in cushioning.
LuxLiner Bootie Construction - This advanced liner construction improves the comfort and fit by enabling the shoe to conform and move with the shape of the foot. This free-floating liner is an extension of the tongue. It's hidden under the front surface of the shoe and is able to move independently from the outer shell.
This system increases airflow, breathability and reduces any chance of hot spots or pinching in the toe box.
Duracap™ - Developed and tested to withstand the abuse of the Vans pro skateboarding team; reinforcement is provided through rubber underlays in the toebox and ollie-area for lasting durability to save you time and money.

Vans Berle Pro Skate Shoes - raven/dark gum
Using these for everyday wear and for Onewheeling. More comfortable with better midsole cushion than the Old Skool line. Wrap around sole helps with wear and adds to the styling. Happy with my purchase so far....

Vans Berle Pro Skate Shoes - black/true white
I wear 10.5 in vans, but I think I should have gone down a half size. They still fit well though. I skated them hard for a few days and can barely see any wear, even in the kickflip areas.

Absolutely love the shoe. I’m 48 and have been skating for 38yrs, these are my favorite skate shoes. Shipping was quick also, and I live on the other side of the country.

Vans Berle Pro Skate Shoes
I got this shoe on say for 60$ so that alone is a good price for any skate shoe but let me go ahead and talk about how the shoe felt when I put it on and just to say I always get a half down on any vans pro shoe so I thought this shoe was gonna feel the similar to a Kyle walker but it felt super unconformable and for the first couple of days it felt like it was pressing down against on my toes of course it broke in later and felt just fine but was it unusual for vans to feel that way for me. Breaking the shoe in took only half a session and felt great after I got use to the way it flicked my kickflips felt amazing in them. I thought the rubber toe was gonna mess up my flick but was actually the opposite and in fact improved my flick . For impact this shoe took a lot of it and I wasn't hesitant to huck myself down something for hours and wasn't so afraid to not land on my board every try. Durability wise it was great and so far was my longest lasting shoe I ve ever had from vans and worth it if you are paying full price for the shoe. One thing I would like to say is the bulky heel cup in the back felt odd and at first my heel flips felt very rocket and it took a lot of effort to level them out but a little but of readjusting and heel flips where feeling great and was having no problem doing them. Author thing was that the shoe is a heavier then most vans shoes I've had in the past but it never effected the way I skated at all. The only real complaint I have with the show was laces I kept on riping them a lot and was very common with me and never usually happens with me. Over all not bad and if every on sale buy it because it worth the money. And would get again

Vans Berle Pro Skate Shoes - rainy day/desert taupe
Overall, the Berle's are one of my favorite skate shoes. They look great and skate great!
They're probably the heaviest skate shoes I've ever had, but that's not a bad thing, because of the outsole.
You can shoe goo/duct tape the worn out flick on a shoe. You can replace torn laces. You can't really replace an outsole once it's blown out without having to buy a brand new pair.
The thickness of the outsole on these shoes makes me think I can skate comfortably, on a daily basis, for another 3 months in these shoes after already breaking them in for the first couple weeks.
The only criticism I have is they take a couple sessions to feel broken in. That being said, if these kicks are going to last twice as long as normal skate shoes, I'm fine with the longer than average break-in period.
Another slight inconvenience is if you're a heelflipper. I have a type of heel flip flick that rips the Vans wave logo stitching off pretty quickly.
Tip: I loop the laces through all the holes except for the last two at the top, and they haven't even shown signs of ripping, even though I do flip tricks every session.
