Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don't provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
MTE Collection - Vans' Mountain Edition series features durable materials, reinforced construction and weather-resistant features to ensure you don't just look good, but feel good even out in harsher elements.
UltraCush™ - Light, predictable cushioning and foothold, the UltraCush™ sockliner has odor-eliminating properties for superior comfort.
HydroGuard - HydroGuard’s waterproof membrane operates and performs similarly to other waterproofing technologies. Billions of microscopic pores cover the membrane, which provides dependable waterproof properties. These pores are too small for water droplets to pass through, but the perfect size to allow water vapor molecules from internal moisture escape. Vans’ new HydroGuard 360º keeps a high waterline for maximum waterproof protection, while the new HydroGuard Wrap provides a lower splash and puddle guard around the shoe and over the toe. In either case, the result is reliable and comfortable, breathable waterproofing no matter where your journey takes you.
MTE-1 Comfort Package - Single-density UltraCush™ molded EVA footbed
MTE-1 Outsole - - Aggressive reverse waffle lug pattern for variable terrain and street performance
- Lugged tread pattern features a siped tire-like design for increased traction
3M Thinsulate - 3M Thinsulate is warm, lightweight, powerful, and thin. The extremely fine microfibers in Thinsulate help to trap air and block body radiant heat loss, making for an incredibly efficient insulation while still allowing internal moisture to escape. A high warmth-to thickness ratio also enables reduced bulk and advanced freedom of movement. In other words, Thinsulate material traps more air in less space, giving your foot more room to breathe.
