Shell

3D Molded Tongue - The 3D Formed Tongue is built to enhance fit and add support, keeping you from experiencing annoying slippage and loose ankles.

Articulated Cuff - The articulating cuff shell features separate upper and lower zones that flex easily together instead of bowing out, delivering a softer but more supporting flex and a better more constant fit.

Rubber Backstay - Helps prevent slippage between boot and binding highbacks.

Liner

Inner Ankle Harness - Secure your foot inside the liner and shell for a no-slip fit.

Adidas Response ADV Snowboard Boots
I'm an intermediate-advanced, all-mountain rider, so I'm pretty particular when it comes to gear. My top priority is a reduced footprint. I'm 5'8", 135 pounds, and wear a size 10 shoe. Being a shorter, skinny guy with large feet really cuts down your options when it comes to snowboarding. Burton and Adidas have, by far, the most effective technology for reducing the physical length of boots, and if mid-flex and dual boa is a must for you like it is for me, you're looking at the Adidas Response or the Burton Concord. At roughly the same price, it came down to appearance and the Adidas won by having that classic skate shoe look. I read everywhere that Adidas are best for wide feet and while they will accommodate a wide foot well, they'll fit a regular D-width foot well if you like to size down to account for your boots packing out over time. The soles of these are fantastically grippy as well. I've noticed I've started walking more confidently over icy patches on the ground, and skating to and from lifts has never been easier. The last thing I'll mention about these is the flex. It's tough to say how they'll retain over the course of a full season, but so far the 6/10 rating (which is right on the money) seems to be holding strong. I typically like more of a 5/10 anyway, so if they break in a bit then I'll still be a happy camper. Even at a 6, these strike a pretty perfect balance for faster, more responsive riding and park. Obviously there is a little compromise on either side when you get a mid-next boot, but I'm not noticing any hindrances thus far. Highly recommended.

Adidas Response ADV Snowboard Boots - core black/footwear white/core black
I'm a beginner but it's a Pretty dam comfortable boot, easy on easy off. Super lite. Looks well made.
It's not clunky stiff like I've tried and other hard boots.
Maybe more play than you want for a newbie. Feels good walking around as well. Used it 10 days straight and still looks good no creases in the foot area. I'm digging it??
