Overview

BCA's largest shovel in the Dozer lineup - the Dozer 3D is an absolute workhorse built for industrial use and for building huge kickers. The lightweight heat-treated aluminum blade moves huge volumes of snow and features a stompable design that can penetrate just about anything. Auto-engaging spring pins make for ultra fast, hands-free deployment, and when it's time to pack it away the blade lays flat in your pack with no protruding neck to give you more space for other gear. In addition, the shovel features drainage holes and a variable offset design to prevent ice buildup. Everything about its design is made for ultra-light, ultra-strong snow action and ease of use to save you time and energy when you need it the most.

Ovo-Concave Shaft
  • BCA was the first to create an avalanche shovel with a non-round shaft, to prevent breakage while prying. They took their groundbreaking oval design and added a concave radius on both sides, to make it even stronger, without adding weight. Like a high-end lacrosse stick, this shape also enables better grip in the palm reducing slippage while shoveling.

Key Details

Shovel Packability - The crux behind shovel “packability” is blade design. A blade that stays assembled to the shaft can be too long for your shovel pocket. A long, angled ferrule (or neck) will suck up valuable space in your pack. A two-piece, ferrule-less design with flat blade is the most efficient.
