Overview

The Button head Allen skate hardware from Loaded is made from steel that's much stronger than Grade 8 (the standard). It also integrates the washer into the bolt itself. This reduces the height of the bolt heads while still distributing load pressure. Killer.

Helped with stress cracks

Loaded Button Head Allen Skateboard Hardware
I use these bolts on my street setup. In the past, I use to get stress cracks stemming from the countersunk hardware I had. I've even snapped a few bolts while doing flatground tricks somehow. But since going to button head bolts, the stress cracks take much much longer to appear, and I have yet to see one snap. I even grew to like the feel on them, and now having flat hardware on a board feels strange to me. Would recommend.

Allen Vs. Phillip's

Phillip's head screws are antiquated and senseless. They're bad enough in construction. Why the hell anyone would make them for skateboard trucks where relatively high torque tightness is required is beyond me. Stripping them is almost guaranteed, especially with younger kids trying to install.
Also, assembly is a thousand times easier with allen, torx, or star heads. Stick an Allen wrench in the bolt head and guess what.....it stays there. Try that with a phillips head screwdriver.
You're not the only ones making Allen head truck bolts but there aren't many out there it seems.
Maybe Im just overreacting and butthurt because I'm 46 now, my ollies suck from what they used to be, and my knees ache for five days after a session.
Great product though! lol

Loaded Button Head Allen Skateboard Hardware
I randomly decided to try these out on my last build, and now I don't think I'll ever use anything different. I got used to the look and and feel of them pretty quickly. They are a lot lower than standard hardware with a washer, and will be easier on your decks than standard hardware without a washer. You don't have to be as worried about your hardware punching through when cranking your trucks down good. They feel really quality also.. it's not cheapo metal or anything. Great hardware!
