The Bruin React combines classic details with a skaters edge. Herringbone tread provides optimal traction and perforations on the inner heel help to reduce sweat by venting out the heat. The tried and true Bruin low-top silhouette is enhanced with a lightweight and durable Nike react insole for a receptive feel with a comfortable fit.
Primary Upper Materials
Cupsole - Durable and shock-absorbing to provide the best impact protection against hard landings. Cupsoles generally last longer than a vulcanized sole but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.
Herringbone Tread - The herringbone pattern is frequently used in basketball shoes for its ability to provide optimal traction on smooth surfaces.

Nike SB Bruin React T Skate Shoes - dark obsidian/white-hyper jade
Great shoe all around only problem is they’re very thin and people with wide feet would be in pain
I’ve been skating the Bruin SB for years and have had most colorways. I tried the hyperfeel version and found it (ironically) had far less board feel. If you’re looking at the react to skate in because you like skating in the original Bruin SB, know that the sole feels and skates more like the hyperfeel- stiffer and thicker. These shoes are, however, lighter and more comfortable for casually kicking it in. So... super stylin and comfy as heck, with less board feel out the box. Admittedly, I’m hesitant to shred these yet because they’re so darn pretty so they may break in after some abuse.
Out of the entire Olympic lineup, these are my favorite. Definitely worth the purchase, the materials used are ones that I haven’t seen. The mid-sole is soft but has super grip, reminds me of those large white erasers you get at the art store. Suede is like butter and comfort; say no more. If your sleepin your missin.
