Baseplate Style

Forged - Forged baseplates are compression molded, making them lighter, stronger, and more impact resistant in comparison to cast or poured-mold baseplates. Forged materials have a tighter molecular structure, which provides a stronger ride with less material. Forging also eliminates most common manufacturing defects and imperfections.

Axle/Kingpin Style

Hollow Axle & Kingpin - Hollow axle trucks cut down on the materials used in the axle, so your trucks feel lighter. Hollow kingpins further reduce weight while still maintaining strength in this critical area.

Thunder Trucks Hollow Lights Skateboard Trucks - polished (147 hi)
The truck is super light and responsive. With the axle being 1mm higher than usual that's just the icing on the cake. If you're confused on what trucks to get I HIGHLY recommend these without a doubt.

Thunder Trucks Hollow Lights Skateboard Trucks - night lights (145 hi)
I installed these as an upgrade to the basic trucks on a complete board I purchased last year. They made a world of difference. Aside from reducing the weight significantly, they also made turning much more stable and predictive. I had to tighten the bushing a lot to make it a little less "flimsy", but overall they made the difference I wanted.

Yes, that's about as good as it gets for that size deck.

Asked by Hugo on 8/20/2017
I usually ride 8.25 but occasionally will step down to 8.1. Will the 147's work for me ??
Answered by Graig A (Tactics Employee) on 8/24/2017
The 147s would work fine or the 148s, the trucks would just stick out the smallest amount on each side with an 8.1.
