The Era Pro skate shoes from Vans are a major step in tweaking and upgrading the skate performance of one of the best selling classic shoes. A few years back the Vans team skated Classics, loved them, and kept requesting them with performance footbeds. Seeing the popularity, Vans introduced Era Pros, but had not put the product in their permanent rotation until now.

This put a stake in the ground to combat the knock-off products and remind everyone who was the first and who is still the best at performance vulcanized.

  • Vulcanized
  • Original Waffle Outsole
  • Duracap
  • UltraCush™ HD
  • Padded Tongue and Collar

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don't provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.

Original Waffle Outsole - Made with soles twice as thick so they would wear longer, this original formula combines durability with flexy board-feel to keep all the Vans' fans happy.

Duracap - Developed and tested to withstand the abuse of the Vans pro skateboarding team; reinforcement is provided through rubber underlays in the toebox and ollie-area for lasting durability to save you time and money.

UltraCush™ HD - Vans' polyurethane-based UltraCush™ HD sockliner keeps the foot close to the board yet won't pack out over time, providing the highest level of impact cushioning.

Vans Era Pro Skate Shoes
My first pair of Vans were Eras, turquoise with black palm trees. I think I was in middle school. The pro version just takes it up to another level. A great combination of cushion, comfort, and feel. I used to wear them out at the toe first, but they seem to have added more strength to the lining there. Suede lasts longer than canvas in the front.

Vans Era Pro Skate Shoes - dusty olive/sage
When i got the shoe i feels very solid and good quality of material to it, it feels like it can last forever. And the new sole cushion makes it more comfortable.

Asked by Robert on 11/15/2016
Should I go down a half size for these? I was bummed when my slip on pros stretched out
Answered by James D (Tactics Employee) on 11/29/2016
I would recommend trying the same size you usually wear. These won't stretch out as much as the slip ons, but with the lases you'll be able to tighten them.
