6 Base Curvature - The base curvature corresponds to the curve of the lens. The higher the number, the higher the curve. 6 base styles have a “flatter” look. 8-9 base curves hug closer to the face.

Frame Material

Nylon Grilamid - These frames are borne from tempered steel molds. Grilamid nylon is flexible in all temperatures, shatter resistant, and possesses a high “memory” to ensure the frame retains its shape and fit.

Lens Material

Polycarbonate - UV400 protection lurks beneath the dark exterior of these lenses. Their polycarbonate lenses are distortion-free, optically correct and have maximum scratch and shatter resistance. These lenses are available in grey, bronze, fashion gradients and chrome coatings.

Lens Tech

Tri-Motion Polarized - Tri-Motion polarized lenses are the optically correct choice for all of your outdoor activities and pursuits of daydreams. These sleek and sporty three layer lenses include all of the polarization and glare reduction you expect from VZ at a price your wallet won't hate.

Extra Tech

100% UV Protection - To protect your eyes from those harmful rays these lenses feature 100% UV protection.

Frame Measurements (mm)

These measurements include the width of the lens, the width of the bridge, the height of the lens and the length of the arms.

Pro Tip - Are polarized sunglasses better? Are they worth the price?

In many cases, yes. All sunglasses reduce brightness and block some amount of harmful UV rays. However, only polarized sunglasses are scientifically constructed to eliminate glare. Not just reduce it, but eliminate it. Polarized sunglasses are ideal for driving, where you get glare from your dash, your windshield and other vehicles. They perform much better than standard sunglasses – reducing eye strain and helping you see better – around water, snow, sand or any other reflective surroundings.

Great shades with an old school vibe

Von Zipper Fulton Polarized Sunglasses - black gloss/grey poly polar lens
I like these shades. Got an old school vibe without looking stupid like the retro Ray-ban's that should have stayed in the archives.

I've worn all kinds of shades. Kaenon, Persol, Smiths, Oakleys, Ray-bans (real 80s retro). I would put theses behind Persol and Kaenon for 3rd place.

The only thing I really don't like is the cheap plastic feel. Arms are not easy to open and close like most sunglasses. Like you can't open it with one hand and your mouth. Yeah, that's what she said.

Overall, I'm happy. Got a good deal too with the Tactics sale. Alright, I'll shut up now. Word to your mother.
