Overview

One of the most legendary snowboarders out there, Kazu Kokubo designed his Pro model board to handle big mountain freestyle riding and deep powder with enough tech to help any level of rider advance to their fullest potential. This board features a medium stiff flex for increased response, and a directional Alpine V3 profile with rocker on the tip for float in powder and camber underfoot for pop and reliable edge hold on hard pack. The AMPLITEX™ V-Tech Amplifiers provide a dynamic and smooth ride by absorbing vibrations from riding fast on crusty terrain, and the Panda Core keeps the overall weight down while adding snap for ollies and technical freestyle riding. Quick and maneuverable, this board can handle pretty much any terrain. If you want to ride like Kazu, you can't beat his signature setup.

Key Features

Alpine V3 Profile - The Alpine V3 profile features lower body camber with a reverse cambered nose. This allows for maximum turning power while increasing float and landing stability. The camber runs deep into the tail, enhancing performance for this freestyle powder stick.

Radical Taper Sidecut - Engineered for deep powder but still very versatile around the mountain, this radial sidecut is complemented by a tapered tail. This narrower tail section naturally sinks in the powder while the wider nose section floats above the snow line. The result is less work and more fun as the board surfs on one smooth continual arc.

Core

FSC® Certified Panda Core™ - The Panda Core was built for high performance energy return in a lightweight and versatile design. From razor sharp turns on demand to huge ollies, this core was engineered with all-terrain technical freestyle riding in mind. Comprised of Capita's P2 Superlight core and enhanced with inlaid Bamboo Power Rods, this high-density core is strong enough to meet the needs of the all-terrain customer while saving considerable weight.

Laminates

Holysheet™ Fiberglass - Holysheet™ Fiberglass features fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. Triaxial fiberglass is placed on top of the core and Biaxial fiberglass beneath, creating a perfectly blended ride while increasing strength and durability.

Titanal Base Inlay - Titanal is a high strength, hardened aluminum wrought alloy with excellent compression strength-to-weight ratios, making it a perfect top core structural reinforcement. These 20 millimeter Titanal Struts resist longitudinal compression contributing more power to these popular, easy to ride models.

AMPLITEX™ V-Tech Amplifiers - The AMPLITEX™ amplifiers are constructed utilizing an all new computer engineered carbon shaping process combined with extensive lab work analyzing how each particular shape reacts to the dynamics of riding. The end result is 4x30mm Carbon Arcs for unmatched response with added Flax for dampness.

Base

Ultradrive™ Base - Twice the M.W. of SuperDrive™, this sintered ultra-high molecular weight, ultra-high density polyethylene, is the Millenium Falcon of base materials. The force is strong with this one.

Details

360° Steel Edges - CAPiTA uses a full wrap steel edge that goes all the way around the board to add bomber protection to the tips and tails from impact damage.

Full ABS Sidewalls - ABS is an opaque thermoplastic polymer that is strong and durable even at low temperatures, making it ideal for snowboarding. It makes your board more stable at speeds and is impact resistant on rails and boxes.

2 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 2 years from the time of purchase. Warranty includes structural defects only and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.

Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.

Magic Bean™ Resin - This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable. Magic Bean™ resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing CAPiTA to decrease the wood core thickness. With a focus on saving wood core weight by increasing resin performance you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return.
