Lib recruited northern England's artist Schoph to bring his methodical work to the Terrain Wrecker, adding more creative layers to this board. The base layer is a dual layered fluoro material, called TNT, which is easy to maintain making it ideal for all you freestyle riders out there who want to test this board's wrecking ability. In the core you'll find Aspen and Columbian Gold woods which keep this board both responsive and strong. The core is protected with internal birch sidewalls and UHMW sintered sidewalls on the outside to give you a smoother ride on chop and a faster ride overall. The core is also layered with tri-axial and bi-axial fiberglass around your feet so you can hold the fast lines before jumps, or ride edge to edge down double-black diamond runs. Next, you have a snow-shedding Poly topsheet which is then crowned with Schoph's entrancing art pictured above. Oh, and although this is a directional board because of the different nose and tail shapes, it still has a twin flex and generally rides like a twin board since the differences are outside of the regular contact patch. All this combined with the extreme C2X rocker/camber profile that uses camber under your feet and rocker between to build useful pressure means this is one of the most durable, responsive, and fun freestyle boards out there.
C2X Power Banana Rocker/Camber Profile - A new formula of C2 with a short, but aggressive Banana rocker combined with cambers that sit underfoot. Extra solid tip and tail pressure for power, pop, precision and end-to-end stability combined with a medium amount of pressure between your feet for carving and edge hold on ice and float in pow.
Magne-Traction Serrated Edges - Award-winning Magne-Traction features strategically placed bumps that create seven contact points along each side of your sidecut. This increases edge hold and allows for knife-like carves without the hook. Magne-Traction is a perfect complement to Banana Rocker and helps increase grip and control.
Original Power Construction (OP) - Light, environmentally nice, and strong, the Original Power (OP) construction is used on more Lib boards than any other construction. Renewable core woods keep it light and eco-friendly while ultra high molecular weight (UHMW) material is used in the sidewalls as well as the tip and tail to deflect impacts and make your ride noticeably smoother.
Aspen Wood - Light, strong, lively, fast growing, heat treated for maximum pop and long life.
Columbian Gold Wood - A lightweight, renewable wood core with loads of pop! This core provides increased response for precise turns when carving.
Birch Internal Sidewalls - Rugged, lightweight, vertical end grain Birch internal sidewalls add pop and durability where you need it when things get hard.
Bi-axial Fiberglass - This 2-way fiber orientation is engineered to increase snap and decrease chatter.
Tri-axial Fiberglass - This 3-way fiber orientation is engineered to provide maximum snap while decreasing chatter.
TNT Base - TNT is a dual Fluoropolymer extruded base infused with Titanium and Teflon. A Lib Tech favorite for its durability, this is Lib Tech's fastest unwaxed base. TNT can be waxed less than a sintered base and will stay fast longer. Not as high maintenance as sintered, yet offers comparable performance.
Eco-Sub PBT Top Sheet - Sounds technical right? It just means the top sheet is made from sublimated polyester material that's great for vibrant yet durable graphics, which means a long lasting image. When the graphics are as good as Gnu's you'll be glad you have it.
Mervin Made: EnvironMENTAL Construction - All Lib Tech snowboards are handcrafted by Mervin Manufacturing in the USA near Canada!
Mervin has been environmentally aware from the beginning - 25+ years!
No cancer-causing toxic automotive lacquer clearcoats.
Soy-based elastomer sidewalls instead of toxic ABS.
Made using renewable forest products for all snowboard cores. Fast growing trees have long fibers and natural pop. Wood is nature's fiberglass!
Made with only low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) epoxy resin systems. Mervin's resin doesn't stink or make you dizzy.
Mervin uses water-cleansed grinding systems to minimize airborne particulate levels.
The Mervin Factory has 2700% air replacement ventilation systems.
All wood sawdust is recycled as soil additive, plus scrap wood is donated to a local Mood Wood company that packages it as kindling and resells it.
All scrap plastics (base cutouts, etc) are recycled and then reground to make new materials.
Water-based solvents used for cleansing (instead of petrochemical-based solvents).
Canola-based biodiesel heats the Mervin factory and is a renewable resource.
1 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 1 year from the time of purchase. Warranty includes structural defects only and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.
Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.
