Earth Day 2023 - One Tree at a Time
Happy Earth Day!
At Tactics, we're committed to making a positive impact on our planet. That's why for the month following Earth Day, when you purchase a Tactics branded skateboard, we'll plant a tree in a region that needs it most. Trees help make our skateboards, but more importantly they help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity.
Year round, we also work diligently on our sourcing practices. All Tactics skate decks are sustainably sourced from a certified supplier in Wisconsin. FSC Forest Management Certification confirms that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.
Lastly, if you live near one of our retail stores, we are happy to partner with BRING to recycle used skate decks for a future life. Working with our partners at BRING Recycling, one of the nation's oldest non-profit recyclers, we’re turning unwanted skate items back into usable goods that will help provide jobs, resources, and training to community members while simultaneously reducing waste and spreading the joy of skateoarding even further.
