Never Summer Proto Type Two
A run on this all-mountain board offers the power of a supernova thanks to the Ripsaw Rocker Camber Profile and Vario Power Grip sidecut. Its Rubber Damping System notably reduces chatter offering more stability. With enough rocker to float and an asymmetrical twin shape providing stability for sketchy switch-landings, this board is perfect for riders that have graduated from noodly rocker profile setups and are ready to amplify their riding style.
Capita Birds Of A Feather
We took this one through the paces and found it held its promise as a fun all-mountain, all-condition board. The new Superdrive™ base is extremely smooth and holds speed through the flats while the V2 profile delivers stability at speed on the steeps. This daily-driver delivers and its soft-medium flex means every skill level can benefit from this bird.
Salomon Pillow Talk
If your dreams include poppin' off pillow tops and double-black-diamond runs you'll love this award winner's edge hold and stability; the Rock Out profile has a flat chunk in the middle and camber underfoot so when you anchor your weight to engage a turn or go to stick a tricky landing you can stay in control. A bit of rocker boosts the playful factor with increased pressability. All in all, this Powder / Freeride board will keep you floating over pow and blazing down the groomers.
This board's playful personality shines through from its fun and forgiving Hybrid Twin Rocker profile, to its poppy graphic. The Saturday features a unique carbon layout just to the outside of your binding trays and we found this to stabalize the ride and also give an extra "umph" for those that want a responsive and poppy all-mountain snowboard.
A directional C2X profile with medium-flex gives the Klassy snowboard a big advantage in the deeps: rocker in the profile keeps you floating through powder with a slightly setback stance and deep sidecut for a tight turning-radius which is amazing for those dips in and out of the trees. This offers stability on hardpack too—just tell your crew you'll meet them at the lift 'cause this aggressive ride isn't one to take the backseat.
The Burton Yeasayer is ready for any type of adventure. Entry level to intermediate level riders appreciate how the Yeasayer’s Flat Top™ profile underfoot makes catching an edge less likely. More advanced snowboarders will find the triax fiberglass offers stability at higher speeds and the Squeezebox™ Low Core profile transfers energy adding pop when you ollie. It floats in powder but is still responsive on the groomers.
Never Summer Infinity
Aptly named, this versatile board has no boundaries on the mountain. While the rocker profile keeps it appropriate for beginners, more advanced snowboarders will have no problem getting the agile response desired thanks to the Carbon VXR Laminate Technology providing power to both tip and tale. Unique to Never Summer, the TDS 2 damping system featured in this board uses three laminated damping layers resulting in a smooth, chatter-free ride.
Burton Family Tree Story Board
Looking for some backcountry experiences? The traditional directional camber w/ rocker profile means this board can float like a cloud. But if you missed the powder party you'll still have tons of fun using the board's impecible edge control to rip down groomers. Look no further—this board will give some awesome pow-day stories to tell.
Don't let this freeride board's pretty graphic (which IS awesome and pops even more IRL) mislead you . . . the Hellcat is a speed-demon ready to charge down steeps and spray skiers at resorts thanks to the directional profile and fast sintered base. The board gained major points with RIDE's impact absorbing, damage resistant Carbon Slimewalls®—this Hellcat takes home the prize for its overall durability and is backed by a three-year warranty.
Gnu B-Nice Asym
Ideal for beginners that want to progress to riding the whole mountain; the B-Nice Asym BTX has a softer-flex Banana Rocker profile and serrated Magne-Traction edges for faster turn initiation and helps you hold the line you want on hardpack. With an asymmetrical sidecut and construction, your heelside turns will feel more natural making this the perfect choice for anyone playing with switch riding/landings.
